Meet Our Staff

Missy

Missy has been in the eye care profession and a part of our team since 1994. She is our Office Manager and insurance billing specialist and assists in the optical department. She has been with Family Eyecare Center from the beginning and is a great resource for any questions you may have. Her loyalty and dedication has been a vital part of the growth of Family Eyecare Center. She has two children, Haleigh and Gavin.

Sheri

Sheri is a vision therapist who has worked in the optometry field since 2003. She works full time as a therapist in our Neuro Rehab Vision Therapy program. She enjoys working with patients who need treatment for learning related vision problems, strabismus, amblyopia, and traumatic brain injuries, to name a few. She has been working in the therapy field since 2006. She has completed over 90 hours of continuing education in this specialized area of optometry and would love to answer any questions patients may have. In her free time you will find she loves spending time with her husband, son and daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.

Wendy

Wendy is a full time vision therapist and has been a part of our team since 2011. She has had a great deal of experience in the medical field and enjoys making sure you have the best experience here at our office. Through our Neuro Rehab Vision Therapy program, she enjoys working with children who are having difficulties with academic performance, strabismus, lazy eye, and early learning milestones. She would be happy to answer any questions regarding the benefits from our therapy program. She has two daughters, Kenlee and Georgia.

Sheila

Sheila is our Front Office Manager and has been a part of our team since 2017. She has many years of medical administrative and billing experience which is very beneficial in meeting the patient’s insurance needs. For any questions about medical or vision benefits, she is happy to help. Outside of the office, she spends time with her husband, daughter, and four-legged friends.

Paul

Paul is an optometric assistant who has been a part of our practice since 2017. He began his time with us while in undergraduate studies at East Tennessee State University. He has since graduated and is preparing to begin optometry school and continue his dream of becoming an optometrist. Paul ensures that our patients are prepared to see the provider and facilitates special testing. In his free time, he enjoys long walks on the beach at sunset and housesitting Dr. Baker’s dog, Fitz.

Sierra

Sierra is a an optometric assistant who makes sure our patients are well cared for throughout their experience. She does the testing in preparation for the patients to see our providers. And while she isn’t working, she is busy with her studies at East Tennessee State University. She plans to pursue a degree in optometry so that she can continue to help those in her community. In her free time, Sierra enjoys skating at the skate rink and donating plasma to help those in need.

Searra

Searra is an optometric assistant who enjoys working one-on-one with patients. She is involved in the pre-testing phase of the exam and collects important information for our providers. She has a passion for serving others and providing stellar care. She will make sure our patients are well taken care of throughout the examination process. In her free time, she enjoys time with her dog, Brewer, and painting things she finds on Pinterest.

Elizabeth

Elizabeth is our optical technician who makes sure our patients get just the right glasses to see their best. She enjoys keeping up with the latest in technology and frame styling. While determining what options are best can be overwhelming, she is there to walk with patients through the process to get them what they need. Have insurance? She will facilitate the billing process while in office. In her free time, Elizabeth enjoys watching movies, eating Twizzlers, and walking in the neighborhood with her dog, Piper.

Amy

Amy is a part of our Front Desk team who greet patients and ensures we have all of the information ready for the visit. She has had prior medical administrative experience and wants to make sure the patient’s time at our office runs smoothly and efficiently. Love cats? She does, too! She enjoys time with her husband and furry friends!
